Welcome to the 2020 RING Meeting

The RING Team is pleased to invite all its academic and industrial sponsors to the 2020 RING Meeting in Nancy. As usual, the meeting consists in a mix of technical presentations and training sessions. Registration is free for sponsors.

The annual RING Meeting is a privileged moment of interaction between students, researchers and RING Consortium affiliates. The participation is free for Consortium affiliates. Selected non-member delegates are also welcome to the meeting but will be charged 350 EUR to participate to the expenses.

The event takes place at the graduate School of Geology in Nancy (France) from 8th to 11th September, 2020. It is divided into two mains parts.

  • First part - Technical conference

The schedule integrates oral and poster presentations from the RING Team researchers and students, on the RING research topics. The conference proceedings are confidential and restricted to sponsors.

This conference also welcomes contributions from all sponsors and guests to showcase their research work in integrative numerical geology to the community.

After the conference, sponsors can access the presented material (papers, presentation slides and recorded presentations) from the Consortium Sponsor's Corner.

  • Second part - Trainings

During each annual meeting, the RING team proposes a training session where sponsors can try RING software following tutorial exercises. During this session, consortium members are invited to discuss with researchers and developers in order to provide direct feedback, share ideas and initiate new lines of research and development. Sponsors are also welcome to organize software trainings for the attendees. NB: non-members cannot attend trainings.

  • Time sharing

Each year, an Ice Breaker is organized after the first day of the technical conference. It gives the opportunity to each participant to become acquainted with others.

To complement this programme, the RING Team is also pleased to invite all participants to a dinner during the event.
